The project Skyrthalia vol. II – Pawsitive Parks will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 3 to 22 December 2025. It is implemented as a 20-day volunteering in teams project under the framework of the activity “Be Sustainable, Sportive and Cultural” (compact action). Thessaloniki's stray animal crisis is pervasive, driven by low sterilization rates, limited funding, health risks from disease and parasites, and societal neglect or abuse. Despite commendable efforts from volunteers and animal welfare organizations, the scale of the issue demands comprehensive, coordinated action—including expanded neutering initiatives, stronger legal enforcement, increased municipal support, public education, and institutional resources. The project focuses on two main priorities: (1) Green practices for sustainable urban environments and (2) Protection, care, and support of pets’ quality of life in the city.
Short CV
Zuzana Zářecká, born in 2006, is a recent Czech graduate who earned her Maturita in 2025 in Poděbrady, specializing in law, public administration, accounting, economics, and languages. She has excellent English skills (C1 comprehension, B2 speaking/writing) and a solid foundation in German. Curious and versatile, she is proficient in several technical tools such as POHODA (accounting), HTML (basics), DaVinci Resolve, and Zoner Callisto, which strengthens her administrative and creative profile. She holds a category B driving license, including cars and motorcycles. Zuzana is particularly interested in psychology, nature, ecology, and volunteering, as well as science and research. Active, open-minded, and motivated, she also enjoys dance, sports, and photography. She is looking for opportunities to develop her experience in dynamic environments that combine organization, ommunication, and creativity.

Dear Selection Committee, I am happy to apply for your project as it aligns perfectly with my interest in sustainable living, dancing and photography. My name is Zuzana, I am 19 years old female from Czech Republic. I am adaptable, hardworking and ready to be part of an international team. I believe this experience will be meaningful and full of amazing possibilities. Helping to take care of animals and participating in performance and photography workshops in a Greek city, while experiencing living as a local is like a dream come true.
