Eng. Evelina Lyubomirova Zdravkova-Velichkova, PhD defended her doctoral thesis on 09/19/2019, in the Department of “Library Management and Archivism”, “Professional Degree 3.5 .: Public Communication and Information Sciences” in a Professional Degree in Doctoral Program “Organization and Management of Information Processes” at UniBIT. The topic of the dissertation is "Intellectual law aspects in the media industry". Scientific adviser is Assoc. Prof. Teresa Stoyanova Trencheva, PhD. Evelina Zdravkova is born in Pernik. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Engineering at the “Angel Kanchev” Technical University in Ruse. By education - engineer, by vocation - journalist. For more than 20 years she has been an active journalist in the “Maritza” newspaper - the largest non-metropolitan daily newspaper in Bulgaria, published in Plovdiv. She has worked as a reporter and team leader in the following areas: Education, Culture, Religion, Bulgarian Army, Foreign Policy and Domestic Policy. Developed thematic pages, maintained daily columns. As editor-in-chief of the web site www.marica.bg, she restructured and optimized the Internet media edition, managed the www.marica.bg e-newspaper and Facebook page. Evelina Zdravkova is the first Editor-in-Chief of the Plovdiv Orthodox Television - the first church media in Bulgaria, author of the concept, organization and management of a 16-hour program of specialized media. Under her leadership, the first online liturgy on the Internet from the Orthodox Church of St. Constantine and Helena in Plovdiv was realized and broadcasted live. After active journalism she has worked as: - Specialist Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising at the State Puppet Theater Plovdiv; - Head of the administrative service at the High School of St. Cyril and Methodius - Plovdiv; - Chief Specialist in the Regional Department of Education - Plovdiv, MES. Shee is currently Chief Expert of Research and International Affairs dept.at UniBIT. Since 1995 she has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, the Association of European Journalists in Bulgaria, and since 2017 – of the International Network of Teachers of Intellectual Property in Bulgaria. Public activity: Member of the Board of the “Edelweiss” Travel Society, member of the Board of the “Culture, Art, Children” Charitable Foundation. There is a nomination for the “Plovdiv” Award. As a doctoral student at UniBIT she has a 16 publications in the field of intellectual property in the media – both as an author and co-author. She is a member of the “University Youth Academy of Knowledge Management” (UMLAUZ). Participates in the organization and holding of the annual seminar dedicated to the International Intellectual Property Day (April 26) at UniBIT, respectively in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018;.
