_ I’m Aren, from Armenia, and I’m really happy to have had the opportunity to participate in the MAD MAXS – Make Art from Discards project in Thessaloniki, Greece. This experience gave me the chance to learn, create, explore, and connect with people from different backgrounds.

_ During the project, I discovered new ways of looking at waste and everyday materials. Through creative activities, we learned how discarded objects can be transformed into something meaningful and artistic. It was inspiring to see how art can raise awareness about environmental issues while also bringing people together.

_ One of the things I enjoyed most was working together with other participants. Everyone had different ideas, skills, and perspectives, and sharing them made the activities much more interesting. I learned that collaboration is not only about creating something together, but also about listening, supporting each other, and being open to new ideas. Living and working with people from different countries was another important part of the experience. We shared stories, cultures, music, food, and everyday moments. I made new friendships and connections that I hope will continue even after the project ends.

_ Thessaloniki also became an important part of my experience. Exploring the city, spending time by the sea, and discovering new places made the project feel like much more than just a volunteering activity. It gave me the opportunity to experience Greece from a different perspective and create memories that I will carry with me. I’m especially grateful for all the people I met during this project.

_Every person contributed something different to the experience, and together we created an atmosphere where it was easy to feel welcome and connected. I’m leaving this experience with new skills, new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a stronger belief in the power of creativity, community, and art to create positive change. I’m truly grateful to have been part of MAD MAXS and to have experienced such a meaningful chapter in Greece.
