This training course explores the intersection between inclusion and connective communication, focusing on how youth workers can create environments where everyone feels they belong and how communication can help bridge differences between people from diverse backgrounds.
Date : 26 April – 1 May 2026.
Location : Vorselaar, Belgium (Flanders).
Organizer: Elegast vzw (Youth NGO).
Goal: The course aims to strengthen participants’ competences in building inclusive environments and using non-violent communication (NVC) in youth work. Through non-formal learning methods, participants will explore tools for empathic listening, constructive dialogue, and conflict transformation, helping them create safer and more inclusive spaces for young people. These approaches encourage empathy, mutual understanding, and respectful communication within diverse groups.
Who can participate: Youth workers, trainers, youth leaders, and professionals working with young people who want to strengthen their skills in inclusive practices and communication across differences.
This activity is for participants from: Austria, Belgium (DE), Belgium (FL), Belgium (FR), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland.
Funding: Funded by the Erasmus+ Youth Programme. Accommodation, food and programme costs are covered by the organisers, and travel costs are reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance rules. Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate recognising their competence development.
