Dear all,
I am Pauline Larue and I am 22 years old. I come from France, and more precisely from the Alsace region. I live in Labaroche which is a small town near the city of Colmar. We can also say that my city is located in the region called "Pays welch" which is a part of Alsace near the border with the Vosges. My town is populated with 2 165 inhabitants, and its surface is 13.43 km^2 (without counting its numerous hamlets) and and it is located at an average altitude of 750 meters.
Labaroche is a beautiful village if you want to rest and recharge your batteries thanks to its calm and its nature. There are many paths in the forests for walking, hiking or biking and if you like skiing, in winter you can go to a resort near Labaroche called "Lac blanc".
Each season offers beautiful scenery, with the orange colors of the trees in autumn, the snow in winter, the many flowers in spring and the sunny mountains in summer. In the vicinity of Labaroche, there are many lakes (Lac blanc, lac noir, lac du forlet, lac vert) where you can walk and swim in summer.
Besides, the biggest cities close to my city are Strasbourg and Colmar which are typically Alsatian cities where you can walk in the nice streets with half-timbered houses, and taste superb white wines with flammenkuche.
