My Introduction

Hello! My name is Nicolai. I am from a city in Sweden called Kalmar, it is located in the southeast of Sweden. When I’m there I live in a house with my mother, my father, my little sister, with our dog Pixie and our cat Oliver.

The city Kalmar is most famous for its big castle by the water which is from the medieval times aswell as the old small part close to the castle where there are a bunch of old buildings that have been turned into shops and restaurants. But the outside has still been kept as it looked during the medieval times. And there is a big cathedral right in the middle. In my opinion Kalmar is perfectly placed in Sweden. A train ride between 4 to 5 hours can get to the capital of Sweden(Stockholm) as well as the other major cities of Sweden, like Gothenburg, Malmö, and its really close to Copenhagen, Denmark also. And right by Kalmar is Öland which is a beautiful island with scenic country roads that is just a big bridge away, it will take you closer to nature. 

Enough about the city this is an introduction to me not the city I grew up in. I wasn’t actually born in Kalmar, I was born in a city called Norrköping. But I was only there for a short while. I spent my first 5 years of my life in a small town called Sandhem. There is where I went to kindergarten. But then at the age of 5 me and my family moved to Kalmar. This is the place where I went from first class all the way up to the end of high school. And it was in high school I kind of started to find myself. I switched majors and because I already have gone two years of my then current major I had to redo two years of my new major, if that makes sense. But it was when I was studying art where I found my passion for movies. I wanted to make movies myself, direct and write them. As my last big project I did get to make a short film. But I did everything. Everything except acting. But I wrote the script, got the actors, got equipment, did the filming and then edited it all and released it. But I also found some love for reading books. Especially classic literature. I’ve always loved old things. Old music, old movies and now old literature. 

So why movies and books? Well I believe its because i’ve always been more of an observer than an interacter. So I think I prefer to empathize and sympathize with people from afar. That is easy to do when reading a book or watching a movie, and it even works when listening and analysing the lyrics of a song. 

So this is who I am and what I like to do!
