THE CITY OF THESSALONIKI

During this mission in Thessaloniki, I experienced the city as a lively and multicultural place, full of contrasts and strong social realities. Working with an international group was a very enriching experience: we shared ideas, cultures and different points of view, learning how to cooperate and support each other. Together we worked on activities to raise awareness about stray animals, such as small performances and presentations using PowerPoint, aiming to inform citizens and encourage more responsible behavior.

MY MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS

This experience helped me grow both personally and socially. I improved my communication skills, teamwork, creativity and sense of initiative, which are key Youthpass competences. I also became more aware of active citizenship and social responsibility, especially regarding animal welfare.                                                                                       

HOPES & EXPECTATIONS                                                                      

My hope is that this project will be useful for future volunteers, giving them ideas, tools and motivation to continue the work. I hope it can leave something meaningful, such as greater awareness among citizens and a more responsible attitude towards stray animals. Even small actions, if continued over time, can create positive and lasting change in the community.
