I come from a little town which is situated in the north of Italy, just one hour far away from Venice. Its name is Caldogno and it has approximately 10.000 inhabitants. A lot of people think that living in a small town is boring and soon you get to use to it. I agree to a certain point because I think that Caldogno has something special. It is true that the town is not so big, but it has everything you need. We have a lot of supermarkets and local shops for shopping, we have the public swimming pool and the gym if you want to train, as well as dance and theatre schools. The local government is really prepositive and it always try to make up some projects which can involve young people and make them interact with vulnerable groups and public institutions.
Caldogno also has a geographical strategically position: it is situated one hour far away from mountain, lake, and the sea (although this last one is not the best of Italy).
In the centre of the town there is a square that, even if it’s not that big, is the centre of the public relations. There is a bar which has been opened since the time when my parents were Young, so the owner actually knows us really Good. Going there to do an “aperitivo” is the best plan for a Sunday evening.
Finally, in Caldogno people are really kind with each other and with people who come outside the country. I’ve grown up there, and I had the fortune to find beautiful Friends. We are travelling the World right now, but our meeting point is, and Will always be Caldogno.
