Garden project and park project

During my recent volunteering experience, I had the chance to engage in a project focused on transforming a small garden within a park that is associated with the primary school. This garden, which was previously used for growing various vegetables, is now envisioned by Konstantina, the professor in charge of the project, as a true learning space for students.

Objectives of the Garden Project

Konstantina aims to redesign the garden to create an educational environment where students can learn about gardening. The goal is to turn this small plot of land into a vibrant area that not only serves as a garden but also as a hands-on classroom for students to explore nature and develop their skills.

To support this initiative, I began conducting research by collecting photographs that I found inspiring. Many of these images were sourced from garden festivals at Chaumont-sur-Loire, which showcase innovative and creative gardening ideas.

I believe that gathering visual references is crucial for evolving a project; it allows us to identify elements we like and incorporate them into our plans. These images serve as examples for everyone involved in the project, providing clearer ideas of what is expected and inspiring creativity among participants. By visualizing different concepts, we can better understand how to enhance the garden’s design.

Challenges in the Park

While my focus has been primarily on the garden, I have also explored the larger park area surrounding it. However, progress on projects related to the park itself has been slow due to its vastness. The space is scattered with abandoned buildings and overgrown weeds, which makes it challenging to assess previous developments accurately.Despite these obstacles, I find the park's potential exciting. There are numerous opportunities to create engaging spaces for students and the community.

Conclusion

This garden project represents a wonderful opportunity to create an interactive learning environment for students. I look forward to seeing how this initiative unfolds and contributes to enriching the educational experience at the school.
