Amidst the ruins of the Acropolis, watching the sun strike the tops of the white buildings, a song emerged. Voices of men singing in unison accompanied by a bouzouki. The lyrics danced in the wind to come to stop under the applause of an audience.

I am in Greece.

My ESC Experience

During my time here as part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), I have had enriching experiences that deepened my connection with this vibrant city. One of my first projects involved redesigning a school yard, where we worked collaboratively with students and teachers to create an engaging outdoor space for learning and play.

Additionally, I participated in another project focused on developing an outdoor garden for students. This initiative aimed not only to beautify their environment but also to provide them with hands-on experience in gardening and sustainability practices.

I have also had the pleasure of working alongside dedicated educators like Pella and Konstantina, who guided us throughout these projects. Their passion for fostering creativity and community engagement has been truly inspiring.

These experiences have enriched my understanding of teamwork and cultural exchange while allowing me to contribute positively to this community.
