A Special Day of Inclusion Is on the Way: A Joint Sports Event at the Ialysos Indoor Basketball Court

Every great journey has a moment that brings excitement, anticipation, and hope — and for our program, that moment is almost here. Very soon, students from our school and from special education schools will come together for a day dedicated entirely to teamwork, joy, and inclusion.

A Celebration of Unity Through Sports

Sports have a beautiful way of connecting people. They break down barriers, encourage cooperation, and create shared victories, no matter how big or small.On December 3rd, at the Ialysos Indoor Basketball Court, we will experience exactly that: a powerful reminder that all children deserve to play, to participate, and to belong.

This event is not just about activities but about building a community where differences are welcomed and strengths shine.

Who Will Be There?

Students both with and without autism will take part in a series of fun, engaging, and carefully designed athletic stations. The activities encourage teamwork, communication, and mutual support — values that lie at the heart of our Erasmus+ / European Solidarity Corps program.

Our goal is simple:to create moments where children connect naturally, learn from each other, and experience the joy of being part of one united team.

A Day Designed With Care

Every detail of this event has been planned with inclusion in mind — from the structure of the games to the supportive roles of teachers and volunteers. Each child will have the chance to participate at their own pace, in a safe and positive environment.

And of course, we will close the day with something special: medals and certificates to celebrate every effort, every smile, and every shared achievement.
