The Rural Activators Pilot Academy is a long‑term hybrid training designed to support emerging rural innovators and early‑stage projects focused on the regeneration of unused or abandoned rural spaces through social innovation, architecture, community engagement, and co‑creation.
Date : 15 May – 20 November 2026
Location : Hybrid (multiple countries, online, Italy)

Goal: This academy aims to empower participants by:
developing practical knowledge in community‑led rural regeneration
combining design thinking, architectural practice and social innovation
supporting participants in co‑creating pilot projects for revitalising rural areas
building transnational collaboration and exchange across contexts
strengthening entrepreneurial and project design competences for rural innovation.
Who can participate: Emerging rural innovators, youth workers, social entrepreneurs, architects, community practitioners, and early‑stage project leaders interested in rural regeneration and community development.
This activity is for participants from: Italy, Portugal, Spain
Working language: English
Funding: Funded by the Erasmus+ Youth Programme. Participation costs related to the programme are supported; travel and/or online participation conditions depend on project rules.
Participants will receive a Youthpass certificate recognising their learning and competence development.
