Weekly review

This week began with planning and setting our goals for the remaining months of volunteering, which will continue until the end of December. Together with our coordinator and the director of Esaien Roi, we developed a structured plan that includes both long-term and short-term objectives.

Throughout the week, we actively started executing these plans. For instance, we began organizing yoga lessons every Monday and Wednesday in YMCA Park. These sessions aim to promote relaxation, physical health, and community engagement.

On Thursday, we visited two local parks, where we took photographs, wrote detailed descriptions, and provided recommendations on how to improve their ecological structures. In addition, we are currently working on creating an informative flyer about these parks to attract more visitors and raise environmental awareness.

Every Monday and Wednesday morning, we continue our activities in the community garden, where we take care of the plants and welcome groups of children and teachers. These visits provide the opportunity for educational outdoor lessons that help participants connect with nature in a more meaningful way.

On Friday morning, we were guided through other gardens located in Karatasou Park, where various vegetables and plants are cultivated and preserved. This visit was both educational and inspiring for our future gardening initiatives.

During the weekend, we enjoyed our free time and took the opportunity to visit Halkidiki, where we relaxed by the beach and recharged our energy for another productive and creative week ahead.
