During my second week of volunteering, I had the opportunity to assist my mentor, Eleni, in an exciting project she organized: a treasure hunt festival spanning several cities, including Thessaloniki, Sparta, Dion Olympus, Athens and more.
This event aimed to engage participants in a fun and educational way, exploring the rich history and culture of these locations.
My role involved helping Eleni prepare for this festival. I spent time organizing and packing the bags for the different groups participating in the treasure hunt. Each bag contained essential items, as well as gifts to reward their participation.
The treasure hunt itself was not just a game; it was a festival that brought people together. Participants explored various landmarks and hidden gems within each city while solving puzzles and completing challenges. This interactive format encouraged teamwork and creativity, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in the local culture. The pupose for this treasure hunt was clear: be an engaging way for people to learn about history while having fun. The combination of exploration and competition created a vibrant atmosphere that resonated with participants of all ages.
I had the pleasure of accompanying Ahmed, the president of an association in Egypt.
