Summary of our work placement

Hello web users,

In this article, we're going to cover the key points of our teleworking placement.

We're simply going to talk about the complexities of teleworking and the working environment.

And we'll finish off with the points to remember about this placement.

First of all, we'd like to thank our tutor for giving us this opportunity and for her confidence in the work we had to do.

Secondly, the working environment was quite comfortable, as we were working as an intern in Tallin, Estonia. This was beneficial for both of us as we had time to plan our work during the day.

Following on from the points made above, we'll look at the advantages and disadvantages.

During our distance learning course, we think that there are :

-Flexibility: teleworking allowed us to manage our time and at the same time it allowed us to reconcile personal life, so we were able to learn about Estonian culture during our "free time". Teleworking also meant that we could find time just for work.

-Independent learning: In other words, we were able to develop our independent skills and learn certain things 'on our own'.

-Comfortable environment: Working from "home" or from a location of your choice can create a more comfortable working environment. This can help improve concentration.

Here are the disadvantages that we have been able to report:

-Communication difficulties: When teleworking, it can be more complicated to ask questions of tutors/employees.

-Complexity in accessing certain resources that are easier to access in the workplace. This may include specific software, documents or equipment that is not readily available outside the office. For example, for our placement report we need to have an organisation chart of the company...

-Isolation from 'social' interaction: Working remotely can be isolating, especially for those of us who are trying to learn. The absence of informal conversations and face-to-face networking can limit opportunities for professional and personal development. In our situation, it seems very complicated to practise spoken English because we don't have the environment to practise and learn English.

For us as trainees, this internship was complicated because we were "plunged" into the world of communications/marketing. We don't think we're fully up to speed in this field.

Despite all that, it was a good experience because we're not used to discovering this field. The teleworking placement, as I've written, was a very good professional experience. We were able to develop certain skills that we hadn't developed before.

This experience will give us a little bit of background in the future, if we want to continue in this professional field. We think it would be complicated to continue in this line of work.

After all, anything can happen in your life, you can want to do a particular job and then change careers.

If we had the choice, I don't think we'd change anything in particular, because it's just one experience among many.

During this placement, we were able to carry out a wide range of tasks on a number of occasions:

-Doing an article on the youth conference. This was complicated because the conference was very comprehensive and enriching. As "teenagers", we believe that the future of young people is more than important. So we need to publicise the various organisations fighting for a healthy future for the new generations, because there are a lot of scourges that need to be tackled.

-Boost the social networks of the EER (Essai En Roi) company. Above all, publicise the causes they are fighting for.

-Highlighting the EER website to raise awareness of the company. Creative videos using TikTok, one of the most popular social networks for the new generation.

-Creating several scenarios to highlight certain ideas that seem important these days.

-Helping to create activities for a children's treasure hunt in Greece

And lots of other interesting activities.

Thank you for your reading
