Organization of the social inclusion event

On Wednesday morning at school, I met with Dimitri and Eleni and we discussed the social inclusion event. We contacted former EER volunteers to inform them of the program and ask them if they were interested in joining us to make this event international. Then Eleni introduced me to the director of the refugee center in Thessaloniki, as she would be interested in supporting the event. Surprisingly, the director speaks French very well, so we talked a bit together and she asked me if I was interested in visiting a school with her!

Besides, I went to the tourist office with Eleni to get some gifts from the city. By chance and surprise, there was in the office Voula Patoulidou, a Greek politician and former athlete who won the 100 m hurdles race at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992. We had the opportunity to talk to her about the social inclusion event and she agreed to give a speech for the opening of the event!
