Goal: This webinar is part of a long-term European project aimed at strengthening the democratic participation of young people with fewer opportunities. It focuses specifically on how poverty and other socioeconomic barriers impact young people’s ability to engage in democratic life. Using an intersectional approach, the session will explore structural inequalities and highlight the role of youth work in fostering inclusion, empowerment, and active participation in decision-making processes. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized youth and learn practical approaches to support more equitable participation.
Who can participate: Youth workers, educators, trainers, facilitators, researchers, and policy-makers interested in youth participation, inclusion, and social equity, especially those working with young people facing socioeconomic disadvantages.
Participants from: Erasmus+ Youth Programme countries, Partner Countries Neighbouring the EU, and other countries worldwide.
Funding: This is an online activity with no participation fee.
