Self-Care for You(th) – Educational Manual to Support Wellbeing of Educators and Youth

What it is: A practical handbook designed to help youth workers, educators, trainers, facilitators, mentors, NGO staff and volunteers improve their wellbeing and manage stress in everyday life and professional work. It can also be adapted for use directly with young people (approx. ages 13–30).


Main focus:

  • Understanding stress and its effects

  • Methods and daily practices to reduce stress and strengthen wellbeing

  • Tools to enhance personal wellbeing, emotional awareness, and healthy routines

  • Approaches that can be used both personally and with groups in youth work, workshops, training and sessions


How it works: The manual offers tested, easy-to-use methods that:

  • are realistic for everyday settings

  • can be adapted for diverse groups

  • are safe and simple to facilitate

  • help educators and youth workers reset, reflect and build sustainable wellbeing practices

  • Trainers, facilitators, mentors

  • Project coordinators and team leaders

  • NGO staff and volunteers working with young people

  • Adaptable for young people themselves (especially for activities involving wellbeing)
