Location: Cournon-d’Auvergne, near Clermont-Ferrand, France
Duration: ~7 months (from 2 March 2026 to 31 August 2026) Opportunity type: Individual volunteering – European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
Goal / Main Responsibilities
You will support local socio-educational activities by working with children and teenagers in the Municipal Animation Center of Cournon-d’Auvergne. Your missions include:
Introducing a European and intercultural dimension to youth activities.
Raising awareness about multiculturalism and European countries.
Organising leisure activities for young people outside regular school hours.
Supporting local partners and community projects through non-formal education approaches.
Participant Profile
Ideal volunteer characteristics:
Active, adaptable, communicative.
Convinced of the value of non-formal education.
Able to interact with diverse audiences.
Fluent in English and/or French, with interest in improving French.
Motivated to facilitate European projects and work with international groups.
Practical Arrangements
Accommodation: Provided in Clermont-Ferrand, shared with another ESC volunteer (covered).
Food allowance: ~€9/day.
Pocket money: ~€8/day.
Training: Two trainings (on-arrival and mid-term) organised by the National Agency.
Support: Language learning and mentoring.
